A Letter From Dr. Dre
A friend of mine recently posted this letter on his Facebook. Finding personal correspondence from anyone in 2012 feels weird, let alone Dr. Dre. As a cultural artifact, it’s amazing, but how does this relate to sports? Look at the name in the first sentence.
To those like myself, who grew up in the late 80s/early 90s and were basketball heads, the name “Sedale” can only belong to one person: former Sonics/Lakers guard Sedale Threatt.
As it tuns out, it’s true: Nicole did stop fucking with Sedale, and eventually Dre got up in that ass. They’ve been married since 1996 and have two children together.
As for Sedale? He’s probably best known for taking over starting PG for the Lakers after Magic’s retirement. He’s also apparently a seriously deadbeat dad, having as many as 14 children.
Let this be a lesson to you, young romantics: letter writing works.
